Judes Crow is an Isle of Wight artist working in a range of media. Her work includes acrylic paintings, ceramics, sculptures from found objects and artists cards. Judes’ work reflects a passion for coastal regions and a surreal take on everyday situations. She has exhibited regularly in the West Country. "My work has been influenced by my experience of attending an art therapy course in 1991. Painting has become my form of self expression where I can depict experiences which are ‘hard to put into words’. It is also a good way of cutting through ‘tangled verbosity’. As a result I draw on my own secret mythology and often create poetry and stories in images. Painting also gives the adult me ‘permission’ to play and to explore the different inner and outer worlds that merge and re-emerge in my daily life."
